I've got this new thing where I just wear earplugs around the house or in my bedroom on a regular basis.
I would highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if you have young children. I've never had young children. I myself am sort of a young child. We can be loud and needy.
This is for you, moms: wear earplugs. Your kids will be fine. You'll hear them if they've been injured.
So, earplugs. That's basically what I've been doing whilst on vacation for a week with my fam. Not because they're all that loud or annoying. I just love silence. It's soooooo relaxing, you guys.
So while we're on the topic of relaxing, let me talk about today's recipe. Mint lemonade. Doesn't that sound like the most chill-out-veg-around-summertime treat? I mean, it's basically a mojito. Minus the rum. Cause, you know, I'm sixteen and all. But, hey! Adults, feel free to spike it! Kids, stay in school and don't do drugs and be responsible or something.
- 20 mint leaves or so (a handful)
- 3 lemons (1/3 cup)
- 1/4 cup agave (or you can go ahead and use 1/4 cup regular sugar)
- 1 1/2 cups water
Blend the mint leaves with about 1/2 cup of the water until they don't exist anymore, and there are just teeny, green specs. Add in the lemon juice, agave, and the rest of the water. Blend until mixed. Serve on ice.
