Fact: It is scientifically proven that if you ask someone to do something one thousand billion times, they will do it.
I know this because, despite the many strawberries in our own garden, somehow my sister got me to take her to the local strawberry patch to get more strawberries.
But hey, I'm not complaining.
So. Today I present you with a cool refreshment from the heat and humidity, a pleasant companion for your summer reading, a sweet break from your wild schedule, a lil something to enjoy with friends.
Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade
- 2 cups fresh strawberries,** washed and hulled
- 3 lemons (about 1/3 cup)
- 1/4 cup agave or maple syrup (or 3 T sugar)
- 1-2 cups sparkling water (depending on how sweet you like it)
Place all the ingredients, besides the sparkling water, in a blender and let everything get thoroughly mixed and pulverized.
Pour in the sparkling water and stir by hand. Use less for a flavor-y-er drink and more for a sparklier drink.
**Note: If you don't have any fresh strawberries on hand, you can easily use packaged, frozen ones. Just thaw them on the counter for a few hours, or you can microwave them a teeny bit.
