This week was pretty crazy, mostly because it was my sister’s 16th birthday, and we take birthdays pretty seriously in our family, and my sister and I go especially wild—we celebrate each other’s entire birthday week. So obviously, a coffee date and random surprise gifts (like bacon-and-eggs socks) and bear pancakes breakfast in bed were in order.
Total side note: so there was just this little, brown pony on the side of the road by our house, so my sister and I did our best to catch the lil guy, but it scampered off when we tried to come close. Oh well.
Yeeeesss! We surprised my sister (she thought she and I were just going to get coffee) and took her on a day trip to the beach with some friends. It was completely amazing! The weather was perfect! We laughed A LOT, got kinda burnt, and had the time of our lives.

whole 30 update
I promise I won’t just complain about my whole 30 diet every week! Haha! I just officially started yesterday. So. Woo hoo! I’m thinking of some awesome “shortcuts” to making healthy meals (like cooking stuff ahead and such), and if it works out well, I’ll share it on Simple Healthy Living! Yay!
